Spinning Class Sunday & Social Event Next Tuesday

Can't believe it is already March. The start of ride season will be here before we know it, hopefully along with some warm weather. In the meantime we have exicing events planned.

Spinning Class Sunday
Our next spinning class will be this Sunday, March 7th at the Atheneum YMCA (401 E. Michigan) starting at 1pm. Please come and bring some friends. RSVP so we can leave your name at the door (you do not need to be a Y member).

Social Event Next Tuesday
Next Tuesday, March 9th we will have our first social event of the year at the Ale Emporium (8617 Allisonville Rd) starting at 6pm. Please come and bring some friends. RSVP would be appreciated. We will have door prizes and will be showing a movie about the 2008 Death Valley ride.

Training Schedule
The training schedule for this year has been posted on the blog (left hand side under Links to Team Information). This is subject to change, but for the most part it is correct. There is a schedule for both the Death Valley & Wisconsin ride. Our ride kick-off with the Youth Ambassadors will be Saturday, April 17th (we will do a 10 mile ride before that). Our mandatory ride orientation will be Saturday, April 24th and will include a 15 mile ride.

Registration
Registration is OPEN for all rides. We currently have over 25 riders registered from Indiana. Contact Stacey if you have questions.

Fundraising
It is never to early to start fundraising, in fact I just sent out my letters this weekend. If you are looking for an additional fundraising opportunity you should consider participating in the Conseco concession stand effort. I did this on Saturday and it was great fun. Dates for March include Friday, March 19th, Sunday, March 21st and Friday, March 26th. Although there is some up front commitment for this, it has the potential to raise a lot of money. If you are interested please contact Amy VanDewielle (avandewielle@riverview.org).

Future Events
We have lots of events planned over the next few months. These events are for you, but also for anyone you think might be interested in learning more about the JDRF Ride to Cure program. Please come join us and bring a friend. A copy of the schedule of events is posted on the blog (left hand side under Links to Team Information). The events are also included in the Training Schedule.

Team Name
Don't forget to respond with your vote for team name.
